A coach has skills that guarantee that he can act reflected and self-organized. In a narrower sense, he can assess his own work and has developed values in this framework, identified own talents and motifs and developed a power of intent on behalf of his clients as a coach.

In his behavior as a coach, he shows a high degree of correlation of attitudes, behavior and action. As a coach, his behavior towards clients is based on the value of the uniqueness of the person. Against this background, a coach develops further in his personality.



A coach is able to check his actions regarding his emotions, motives, values, and all other skills, experience and competencies that influence his own will drive in coaching.

A coach shows skills to align his actions to the client, the client's change processes, the context of the client and the associated conversion. In the systemic context he additionally takes into account the interactions of a change within the company or organization.

In a psychological context, the Coach draws on situationally appropriate psychological models and procedures to support the coachee (client) optimally in his process of change.



A coach has abilities to act mentally and physically self-organized in processing the client's changes, i.e. he can trigger and accompany changes creatively with his technical, methodological and instrumental knowledge, skills and abilities.

A coach can classify and evaluate knowledge and values meaningfully. In his work, the coach is methodically organized and provides the framework. Methods and tools developed creatively by the coach are adapted to your personality.



A coach handles his clients and their context impartially. His behavior is appropriate and relationship-oriented. He behaves appreciative and respectful in dealing with clients and other people involved in the process.

He uses his skills to listen emphatically to build a relationship with the client and to carry out the communication with the client appropriately. As of part of social communication skills, he also has the ability to perceive conflicts, to face them consciously and self-critically, he can state his point of view and can find a consensus or compromise.



Field competence consists of the specific factual and professional knowledge, skills and abilities that have been acquired through experience in a particular job / activity. For the purposes of dvct this means that a coach has basic orientation knowledge in the client's thematic context and applies this for the client's purposes.
